Burnley vs West Ham: West Ham Player Ratings

Adrian: 6
He always seems to have that one mistake in him and he cost us the goal. His kicking was good though so give him credit for that.

Jenkinson: 7
Shows an attacking threat all throughout the game and produced a wonderful assist. Gelled well into the team. Excellent performance.

Reid: 6
BOOKED. Lost his market often which didn’t help one bit but in the second half, he was much more solid. Good partnership with Collins.

Collins: 8
Produced a block, interception, heading clearance or a tackle that helped the team massively all the time. He wasn’t expected to start but he was strong and committed. Ginge played well.

Cresswell: 7
He’s not too good at the back but when he’s going forward, he always sets up a goal every time. He was unlucky not to score as well. Very dangerous player and very underrated too.

Song: 7
He sits in the middle and sprays the ball about perfectly. He won almost every tackle and his passing was on point as per usual. Solid performance from the Cameroonian.

Noble; 7
Came back into the squad and produced a good display, especially in the second half. He keeps possession well and his decision-making is always key to our attacks. He is a key player for us if we wish to get Europe. Leader.

Downing: 6
Not his best performance as he didn’t get into the game until 30 minutes in but he had a couple of excellent shots. Unlucky not to score in both halves.

Amalfitano: 7
Such an underrated player. He picked the right pass every time, he made excellent runs and he was running everywhere for the team. Another solid performance from the ex-Marseille man.

Valencia: 8
Links up with Sakho very well, used his pace to his advantage and deserved the goal that he got. You won’t see a better header for a long while, it was an absolute bullet. Settled in well to English life.

Sakho: 9
A goal and an assist was the least Sakho could’ve got in all honesty. Great header for his goal and his awareness for C. Cole’s goal was extremely good. He really is proving to be a bargain for the Hammers. Who would’ve thought?!

Subs:
C. Cole: 7.
Very harsh if I gave him an 8 over some other key players but he had one shot cleared off the line and bagged a goal too. His hunger was unbelievable and it was a great substitution as Valencia was tired. Well done C. Cole and Sam Allardyce for that.

Nolan: 6
Always sniffs out that one chance when he comes on the pitch in the last 15 minutes but this time it was great defending. Nothing much noted apart from that.
