Chelsea hold all the cards in terms of being in full control of this title race, being 5 points clear of City means anything but defeat will do. Chelsea head into this game confident of securing a result as their phenominal  home record in the league speaks volumes.  Chelsea are the only  team in the league this season with a 100% home record and with 8 clean sheets out of 10, you wouldn’t bet against them griding out a result on Saturday. With City collecting just 5 points from the last four league games, Chelsea have the oppertunity to reopen a large gap at the top and pretty much kill off competition before it’s even started.

Manchester city are aiming to slice Chelsea’s 5 point gap into just 2 with a win at Stamford bridge although that is no easy task. Anything but a win would not help city in terms of recouping the title at all. With City being the only team to score in every away game this season it puts them in a good position to at least work Chelsea tomorrow.

Team news:

After Tuesday’s gladiator affair  againt Liverpool went to extra time chelsea were succumb to a number of injuries including, architect Francesc Fabregas and in both full backs Luis and Ivanovic. Ivanovic the only one of the trio expected to feature in this pivotal affair. After retrospective action taken against Chelsea’s top scorer  Mr Diego Costa after an off the ball stamp of Emre Can, he has been handed a three match ban, the first of which comes against City.

City are without talisman Yaya Toure as well as new signing Wilfried Bony who are still on international duty in the African cup of nations.

Predicted score: 2-1 Chelsea – Eden Hazard, Oscar – Aguero
