Liverpool confirm the signing of James Milner

James Milner has snubbed a £165,000 offer from 2013/2014 Premier League champions Manchester City, to finally sign for Liverpool FC. Liverpool Football Club have confirmed the signing and he will be arriving to the club on July the first.

With Gerrard leaving the club, it’s good news that the Reds have signed someone with huge experience. He’s been a big part of City’s history the past ten years, winning two Premier League titles with the Blues. He’s played a total of 147 times for the club. He’s created Premier League history, becoming the second youngest player ever to play in the Premier League and the youngest to score in it – for Leeds United.

29 year old Milner was also wanted by Arsenal, but rejected them for Liverpool. He’s played for City 45 times this season, and will be a huge blow for the club with another homegrown player leaving.

James Milner may not be the most gifted player in the world, however he always gives 100%. A new Dirk Kuyt type for Liverpool? He’s versatile, from playing as a striker to a RB. He’s done it all.

The Englishman has earned 53 caps for the National Side, and has played against Liverpool a total of 42 times!

Liverpool have also been linked with another Englishman, Danny Ings. Could he be the next player Liverpool confirm?
