Liverpool linked with two International keepers

With Simon Mignolet failing to impress Brendan Rodgers, it’s clear to see that change is needed. Countless times this season we’ve seen Liverpool get linked with numerous keepers, two more today.

According to reports in Turkey, Liverpool are preparing a bid in the region of €10 million for the Uruguayan international. Fernando Muslera is Uruguayan’s first choice keeper, making a total of 66 appearances for the National side. He’s won many trophies with Galatasaray, including the Super Lig twice. Before that he played in the Serie A, where he made 97 appearances – winning the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana in 2009.

The Turkish club bought Muslera for €12 million, making Muslera at the time the most expensive goalkeeper transfer in Turkey and the fifth most expensive goalkeeper of all time. He’s even scored a goal for Gala, where he scored from the a penalty kick. The Uruguayan has also been linked with AC Milan last month.

Another keeper Liverpool have been linked with is Australia’s Mathew Ryan from Club Brugge, despite the keeper signing a four year contract a couple of months ago. According to the Guardian, he has emeraged as a possible candidate to replace Simon Mignolet. They also claim that Rodgers is in for two keepers, but for the summer.

Mathew Ryan fits in well with the classic ‘FSG signing’ – he’s 22 and has a lot of experience. Making a total of 154 senior appearances.

With Brad Jones out of contract in the summer, and Rodgers not determined to stick with Mignolet – which keeper would you sign?
