Liverpool want Ings, Barcelona’s ‘unsung hero’ and Porto man

The likes of the Telegraph and Tony Barrett from the Times, in fact most newspapers, have linked Liverpool with Burnley striker, Danny Ings. The Telegraph report the Reds are hoping to reach an agreement with the Englishman that would enable Ings to move to Anfield this summer, meaning he would be on a six month loan at Burnley.

The striker has scored seven goals and assisted three times this season, scoring more times than any Liverpool player in the Premier League. His contract runs out in the summer, however with the rumours flying in that Liverpool want to sign him this month, could Rodgers throw in a few million?

Meanwhile, Daniel Sturridge is set to return to action against West Ham. Sakho missed training on Thursday, however will be back the next day training with the team (Confirmed through twitter). He should be fine to face West Ham.

Vital Football claim that Liverpool starlet Sheyi Ojo could be heading to Wigan Athletic on a six month loan. Malky Mackay was present in Ojo’s last game, where the Liverpool U21s narrowly lost to Manchester United 2-1. The U21 manager earlier this week said that Ojo would be aloud to leave on loan. The winger has caught a lot of people’s attention recently, with the 17 year old appearing on the Liverpool bench in one of the recent games. Read about the youngster here.

Meanwhile the Daily Star claim that Turkish side Trabzonspor have emerged favourites to sign Sami Khedira, whose contract runs out in the summer. Liverpool have been linked with the Real Madrid man the past couple of months.

While the Daily Mail claim that Liverpool want Barcelna’s former chief scout, who worked under Pep Guardiola, and technical secretary Albert Valentin. They also say that Liverpool have been monitoring Porto’s Ruben Neves, dubbed ‘the new Segio Busquets’, has made 13 appearances for the Portuguese side, including starting in a Champions League game. Ruben is only 17, and has already got a goal to his name in Liga Sagres against Maritimo. Liverpool have also spoken to talented Paraguayan striker Sergio Diaz, who is valued at £5.25m. The likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid are also interested.

The Express say Liverpool and Arsenal are on alert, with Higuain set to leave Napoli at the end of the season.
