Liverpool Football Club have confirmed that Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson, Brad Jones, Jordan Lussey and Marc Pelosi have all left the club. Steven Gerrard announced he would leave Liverpool earlier on the year, after 710 appearances for the club scoring a total of 186 goals. The midfielder will join MLS side LA Galaxy, where he’s set to play alongside Robbie Keane – lucky Gerrard eh?
Glen Johnson has made a grand total of 200 appearances for the Reds (160 of them in them in the Premier League). Despite losing some form the past two seasons, he had an excellent first couple of seasons. We wrote a Glen Johnson tribute here.
The Liverpool number one has reportedly been treated badly with his contract, and will now leave the club. The Australian made 27 appearances for the club. His most notable game was against Everton in the FA Cup. It’s been a weird season for the goalkeeper, from making five first team appearances and set to play in the long run, to getting washed out after he suffered an injury – allowing Mignolet to return to the side.
Marc Pelosi arrived at the academy back in 2011, after he captained USA to the last 16 in the 2011 FIFA Under 17s World Cup in Mexico. He was rated very highly among the players and staff in the academy, however after a virtually season ending injury a couple of years ago (suffering a broken leg after a shocking tackle from a West Brom player), he’s never been able to regain form. He’s played for Liverpool a few times this season, and has been with the US squad recently. It’s sad to see such a bright prospect leave the club, we wish you luck!
Jordan Lussey has been at the club for 13 years now, and signed for Bolton Wanderers on a youth loan deal until the end of the season. He’s captained the youth sides many times. He’s aso represented England at youth level. Jordan is a great guy, and I really hope he makes it big soon.

Its going to be hard to see liverpool play without gerrard in the squad . imagining how many times he has rescued us from difficult games someone has to step up for the love of the club and be that special player for liverpool . otherwise lets leave rahim go , we have ibe he can replace rahim plus origi is back plus milner is here but it will take time for the team to gel ..but Brendan rodgers has his days numbered ..ynwa
