Liverpool have been swamped with various transfer stories today, including ones about Milner and Ings – I talked about both those rumours here.
Silly Season carried on for Liverpool, with the Reds being linked with Burnley right back Kieran Trippier (Daily Mail). The likes of Tottenham and Aston Villa are also chasing him.
Meanwhile David Anderson from the Mirror has claimed that Brendan Rodgers will survive as Liverpool manager, as long as he accepts the transfer committee stays.
The Liverpool Echo earlier today reportedly that there was still an interest in Christian Benteke, however are not willing to pay the £32.5 millon fee. The Belgian has been in form this season, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea also interested in taking him. His agent, Eric Kismet, will tell Aston Villa that Benteke wants to play in Europe next season according to Sky Sports.
Today, Jurgen Klopp ruled himself out the job after announcing that he will take a temporary break from football after ‘seven intense and emotional years’ at Borrusia Dortmund. Two big managers will be available next season, Klopp and Ancelotti. The Liverpool owners have arrived at Liverpool and will have a end of season review with Brendan Rodgers. They will also attend the Premier League shareholders meeting this coming Thursday.
