After weeks and weeks of rumours that Bony was going to Manchester City, the BBC now report that Swansea City have agreed a fee in the region of £30m to sell striker Wilfried Bony to Premier League 2013/2014 champions Manchester City.
Wilfried Bony was the Premier League’s top goal scorer in the calander year (2014) with 20 goals. 9 goals in 16 starts in the Premier League, assisting twice. Gary Monk claimed that ‘It would take an astronomical fee for Bony to go anywhere’ and that they ‘are not a selling club’. But with a £30m bid coming from City, it’s hard to reject that kind of offer.
Bony has scored a total of 31 goals for Swansea. He arrived from Vitesse Arnhem where he scored 51 in 69 appearances. The Ivorian striker has scored 11 times for Cote d’Ivoire. He has two cups to his name, coming from Sparta Prague (Gambrinus Liga and Czech Supercup). In his club career he has scored a total of 119 goals, not bad for a 26 year old.
Many people are claiming that an Aguero – Bony partnership would be ‘magical‘, there’s only one way to find out…
