Adrian: 6.
Nearly put in from a pass back from a West Ham player but got lucky. His kicking was on point & he made two good saves.
Jenkinson: 7.
He defended everything that came his way, he used his pace well and the majority of his crosses were excellent. Should’ve won the match with a header at the back post though.
Reid: 8.
Very solid and comfortable for the whole match, shame Collins’ pace let him down on a couple of occasions. We’ll miss him when he goes.
Collins: 7.
Got caught out due to his lack of pace compared to Agbonlahor, but he is excellent at winning the ball in the air.
Cresswell: 8.
Connected well with Downing all throughout the game. His crossing was absolutely phenomenal.
Song: 9.
Dealt with Villa’s midfield well. Song’s passing was what got him man of the match by any means. Was unlucky to not score at the end, but a ‘handball’ stopped him.
Kouyate: 5.
Barely put a foot in, barely won a header and didn’t run as much as we know he can. This may be down to lack of fitness, perhaps.
Noble: 6.
Spread the ball well throughout the match and his corners were good as well, shame no-one scored from one. Didn’t have the best of matches overall and deservedly came off at the end.
Sakho: 7.
Shame he didn’t score but he had the opportunities, he just didn’t finish them. It wasn’t to be his day. His work rate is never to be questioned though.
Valencia: 7.
Same with Sakho, he has excellent work rate and is most certainly unlucky. His first home goal will soon come, I hope. He deserves it.
