First of all, @WHUFCfanscorner welcomes Darren Page, who is an extremely dedicated Manchester City supporter. He last missed a Manchester City match back in the 2001/2002 season against Gillingham… Fair play to him, we say!
If you wish to follow Darren Page on Twitter, his name is @pagiemcfc – after all, the West Ham and Manchester City fans do seem to have a special relationship…
1) What have you made of Manchester City’s start to the 2015-2016 campaign?
In all honesty. we couldn’t have asked for a better start to the league. Not only do we have maximum points, but our main rivals have already dropped points too. The CL was a little disappointing but it wasn’t the worst performance and were unlucky to lose but it’s all about taking your chances in European games.
2) Do you believe that West Ham and Manchester City have a special relationship?
Personally, from my own experience, I’ve never had any problems with the West Ham fans from the times I’ve been to Upton Park and always enjoyed good banter and a friendly atmosphere so I would have to say “Yes”.
3) Do you miss the old days at Maine Road or are you happy with exactly how things are right now?
Of course I miss Maine Road but you look at where we are today and we are extremely lucky to have the stadium and facilities we do today so I’m overall happy how things are right now.
4) What’s your favourite match between West Ham and Manchester City?
There’s been a few tbh but the obvious one had to be clinching the league on the final day in 2014 and it was great to see the West Ham fans stay behind at full time, so I’d have to say that, although if you asked me again I could give you a completely different answer! Haha.
5) What’s your prediction for tomorrow’s visit of West Ham?
I’ve been impressed with West Ham’s away form so far this season 100% record and winning at Anfield and the Emirates but I think with our attack we will be too strong so I’ll go for 3-1 to City.
